1. About Our Services
Somebody To Talk To is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free, professionally facilitated group support sessions for individuals and families affected by rare diseases, including Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), Sickle Cell Disease, and Amyloidosis.
Our services include:
- Live and on-demand group support sessions via Zoom
- Educational content on emotional wellbeing, caregiving, and rare disease management
- A community platform for registered users
- Partner and professional resources for healthcare organizations
STTT services are educational and supportive in nature. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. HIPAA Notice and Health Information
STTT group sessions are not covered entities under HIPAA. However, we are committed to handling all health-related information you share with us with the highest standards of privacy, confidentiality, and care.
